Ford Scout Camp

Ford Scout Camp is operated by North Northumberland District Scouts and is situated in a secluded area on the Ford and Etal Estates with the kind permission of the Joicey Family. The site has been in operation since 1970. The original hut was replaced by the Davison Building in 2013, and we now offer this building and the surrounding camping area for the exclusive use of any group booking the site.

It is a purpose built building offering a large hall for dining and activities and a smaller meeting room to be used as needed. There are male and female toilet and shower blocks and an additional room with an accessible WC and shower cubicle. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a range cooker, fridge-freezer and freezer, microwave, toaster, electric and stove kettles, a large selection of pans and a reasonable stock of cutlery and dinnerware. There are tables and chairs for indoor use. In the camping area outside there is a campfire circle, two altar fires, picnic benches and a chopping area.
